Ministerial Decree No. 418/2025 – New Admission Procedures for 6-Year Postgraduate Degrees in Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Medicine

The Ministerial Decree No. 418 of 30 May 2025, published by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, defines the new admission procedures for 6-year postgraduate degree programmes in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Prosthodontics, and Veterinary Medicine for the academic year 2025–2026.

The decree implements the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 71 of 15 May 2025, with specific reference to Articles 4(3) and 5(1).

Please note that the new rules do not apply to:

• Degree programmes taught in English at legally recognized public or private universities;
• Reserved seats allocated by universities for military academies.
