The Orientation Service organizes and promotes activities aimed at final-year students of upper secondary schools and those intending to enroll at the University of Turin, in order to support them in making informed choices.
The University of Turin organizes various orientation initiatives and activities in which the School of Medicine also participates, such as the Orientation Days: the University of Turin presents its course catalogue and certain student services to students in their fourth and fifth years of upper secondary school, as well as to anyone interested in enrolling at the University of Turin.
Below are the main orientation activities and initiatives organized directly by the School of Medicine:
Open Days
As part of the "University Open Days" initiative, meetings are organized with faculty members and senior students, along with lectures and guided tours of university facilities. These are primarily aimed at students in their fourth and fifth years of upper secondary school, but are also open to those who need guidance in continuing their educational path.
Due to logistical reasons, not all degree programs can organize such activities. Scheduled events are published in the Orientation section of the University of Turin website.
Welcome for First-Year Students
Presentations of the degree programs held at the beginning of the academic year.
Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation
Internship activities for upper secondary school students organized during the school year and summer months.
"Medicina Orienta" Orientation Brochure and Other Informative Materials
Publication on the School’s website of informational materials and the “Medicina Orienta” brochure, which includes the course catalogue of the School of Medicine and an overview of various support services.
Orientation Meetings
Tutors and faculty members are available, by appointment, to meet with upper secondary school students and those interested in enrolling in a University of Turin degree program, in order to support informed decision-making about their academic career.
